Ho! Ho! Ho!

This past weekend we took Peanut to meet Santa Claus for the first time.  I was kind of nervous that she would completely freak out when we put her in his lap, mainly because she has a serious case of "stranger danger." I had the day planned perfectly, wait until Peanut woke up from her long morning nap, dress her in her super cute Santa dress and head over to Merrifield Garden Center for a photo. But that plan quickly was ruined.  Peanut only napped for about 45 minutes.  And by the time we were in the car and heading off it was time for another nap.  But she currently hates her car seat and she let us know all about it the entire way to the store. Naturally she fell asleep 5 minutes before we got there. All I could think was "I have a cranky baby, that gets upset when other people hold her, and this is going to be her first Santa photo. Perfect."

We got her all dolled up and walked around the store looking at all of their Christmas decorations. We then walked over to Santa's workshop.

Walking Peanut in to meet Santa for the first time.
Introducing her to Santa. She immediately clasped her hands together in her "prayer hands" which she does when she is startled, nervous, or upset. I thought, oh no, here comes the water works!
But they didn't come! Instead - she loved Santa and was totally intrigued by his beard!

This is one of my favorites. I love how she is looking up at him like she is checking off her Christmas list to him.

They even let mom and dad jump in for a family photo! Totally frame worthy.

After we did our photos we walked around the store deciding what we wanted to buy.  Hubs came across this cute little chair in front of a gorgeous tree and promptly sat Peanut down in it, so naturally I whipped out my camera for a few more photos.
We had a great day visiting Santa! We also finished decorating the tree although the rest of the decorations for the house are still M.I.A. so I need to find those so I can complete the decorating.
Our tree - complete with the angel tree topper we picked up while visiting Santa!

We can't wait to continue celebrating the season with our Little Peanut!
