Married Life and Top Three Thursday

So far life as a married woman has been pretty amazing. We had a great week at the beach before the wedding and we spent a full week in Fiji, which was a once in a lifetime chance for us, and when we came back we jumped right into getting our house ready for sell. This summer we decided will be a quiet and slow summer, where we mainly work on our house, pack, and put things into storage. The only trip we have planned is to go to Orlando in September with my best friend and her boyfriend. I seriously cannot wait to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter...I know, I know, I'm a geek, but seriously, I'm almost as excited for this vacation as I was for my wedding and honeymoon!  Crazy right?!

So today is a Top Three Thursday. I haven't done these link ups much lately because life had been so crazy, but now that I have more time to write my blog, I'm ready to get Linky! :-)
Today's topic is top three vacation homes or vacation spots. I decided to do vacation spots since I just finished traveling.

1. Turtle Island Fiji
We spent 8 days, 7 nights here for our Honeymoon.  It was gorgeous and the water was a beautiful blue. If I had a chance, I'd probably want to go back.

2. St Kitts
When we went on a cruise back in 2008 we stopped on the island of St. Kitts.  This was our favorite island of the entire cruise.  We did a catamaran/snorkling trip which was awesome. We boated out to Nevis Island which is just off of St Kitts and snorkeled and had a BBQ lunch.  We are cruising again in March of 2011 so we are going back to St. Kitts for sure!

3. Orlando
Okay, so I'm 26 years old...but I still LOVE Disney World and the magic of it all.  We went to Orlando in January and we are going back in September. While I love Disney, I am pretty sure that after Sept I am going to be in love with Universal Island of Adventures where I can submerge myself in the world of Harry Potter. HAHA I hope I never truly grow up! When we have kids (we are thinking of trying to start next March), I will be so excited when they are old enough for me to have a better excuse to go to Orlando!

Top Two Tuesday and Wedding Photos!

I haven't done a Top Two Tuesday over at the Undomestic Momma in almost a month! Between the wedding and honeymoon and then getting back into the swing of things at work, I've had no time to breathe, much less blog! I've posted a couple blogs with preliminary photos of both the wedding and the honeymoon, but we've gotten a lot back recently so I figured I'd give everyone a peek at some of better ones that others took for us.

Today's Top Two Tuesday is Dream Houses. I have had my dream house in mind FOR-EV-RRRRRRRRR! Seriously - I went to a Parade of Homes about ten years ago and found the interior design that I always wanted. I feel in love! I also have always wanted a more country type home with a huge wrap around porch and porch swing and wicker rocking chairs. I believe my best shot for this home will be in Charleston, SC where we plan to move in a few years. Here are a couple of my top two dream homes....

And if I had a million dollars to blow on a house...I'd have to say this home below is def a dream home for me!

If you'd like to see more photos you can check out this site here where this home is listed for sale!

And now I leave you with a few wedding photos until next time!

BULA!!!

We have officially been home from our Honeymoon and back at work for a week now. We spent 8 days, 7 nights in Fiji, on a small island called Turtle Island. Turtle Island is a small independently owned island that is part of the larger Yasawa Islands in Fiji. It's real Fiji name is Nanayu Levu, in case anyone wanted to look up it's location.  Actually, I'll save you the trouble and show you a picture...
Our journey began on Thursday, April 22.  We left Virginia, flying out of Dulles and landed in Los Angeles at about 6 pm L.A. time, 9 pm our time. We didn't board a plane to Fiji until 9:45 L.A. time - so needless to say, by the time we got on the plane to Fiji we were very tired. The flight was 10 and a half hours long...we sat in the back of the plane where there were only two seats per row so we didn't have anyone sitting next to us. It was hard to get comfortable but we both managed to sneak in a few hours of sleep.  We landed in Nadi, Fiji, after crossing the International Date Line on Saturday at 5:30 a.m. - this would be about 1 pm or so on Friday back in Virginia. We were tired! We still had a small water plane to take that didn't leave until 11 am and we hadn't had a shower or anything. Drew showered in the airport bathroom and then our driver, Peter, took us into Nadi, drove us around town, showed us downtown and then dropped us off at Jack's, a store that sells everything to help us kill some time. Eventually we headed over to pick up our co-passengers for the plane and we headed to the flight area. After weighing in (only a certain amount of kilos could be taken on the plane) we were ready for take off! Unfortunantly we had issues with our plane and had to go back and jump on another one.
We were very excited when we finally landed on Turtle Island. We were greeted with a huge sign and the staff singing to us.  I was carried off the plane by two "Fijian Warriors" and we were promptly handed a drink.
Our week went by slowly yet quickly at the same time. By the end of the week we were ready to go home but sad to be leaving at the same time. We met some great people, did a lot of great things and even got a nice tan in the process. We made friends that we plan to visit this summer and others we plan to stay in touch with. The food was good, the water was clear and blue and I stood on the same beach as Brooke Shields when she made the movie "The Blue Lagoon." It was pretty awesome. All of these pictures are ones taken by our Bure Mama, but I will do more posts with all of our pictures and video as well!
