My Bridal Tea Party - the food, the presents, the ladies!

So this blog will be more picture heavy than text heavy. I have so many amazing pictures that I figured I'd let them (with my captions) tell the story of my amazing shower. So away we go!
The zucchini soup.  It might not sound like it, but this soup was A-MAZE-ING!

Each person received their own tray with little tea sandwiches and desserts on them.
Some of the larger presents on the present table.
A very special moment for me happened when three old family friends finally arrived (they got lost). Ann and Dwight moved in next door to us when I was about 8 years old.  Two years later, after I turned 10, they had their first daughter, Sydney. I babysat for Sydney, and her sister Rachael that came a little over a year later for the first 7-8 years of their lives. Sydney was my little barbie doll, and I was closest to her.  She was an adorable little, blond baby and her sister was quite the firecracker.  I haven't seen them in almost 3 years - my parents moved away from the neighborhood after I graduated college.  I missed seeing them when I was home visiting. I spent a lot of time at their house when I was growing up, and I love their mom Ann a ton. She was like a second mother to me and they were my two baby sisters. I was so happy when they showed up, so very happy. They have matured into beautiful young ladies!

Sydney showing me a picture book that was made back when they were about 3 years old. The pictures of me made me cringe (horrible hair cuts!) but it was great seeing all of the memories.

Opening the presents. This one was from my grandmother.

My grandmother also won bridal bingo. I might have helped push that along a bit. ;-)
Modeling my ribbon bouquet from all my presents!
The bridal party.

My grandma and myself.

My mom and me.

Me and my soon to be mother in law, Lynn.
Sally and I.

Julie (Becca's mom) and I.

Myself and beautiful Miss Sydney.

Me and Pat.

Me and Tina - my future sister in law.
And last by not least:

The two wedding moms! My mom and Andrew's mom together. :-)

All in all the shower was a huge success. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about it and it went smoothly. I loved the individual tea pots we were all given as well as the little food stands, it was just too cute!

Tomorrow is my birthday so I'm sure that will be the blog highlight of the day, as well as Top Two Tuesdays!

  1. What a great shower!! The food was excellent.

  2. Bride and bridesmaids at the tea party look happy and excited for the day. My friend's bachelorette dance evening was same. Came to know about event venue Atlanta from her known and hired it online. Also availed festive discount on all the bookings. My cousin also the liked the interior set up with attentive staff services. Thinking to arrange her baby shower here only.
